Huntington Bank Field
100 Alfred Lerner Way
Cleveland, OH 44114

Participants can register, start or join a team, and fundraise at stepout./SOWCleveland.

Step Out Walk benefits diabetes research, education, management, and prevention, supporting the ADA’s mission to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Increasingly, this includes people living with obesity, as the Obesity Association™, a division of the ADA, expands outreach and education.

“Our Step Out Walk is more than a walk, it is a celebration of the ADA’s mission and a chance to bring the entire diabetes ecosystem together for connection and education,” said Chelsea Musial, the ADA’s executive director of Northeastern Ohio. “We are excited to be returning to Cleveland where the ADA was founded in 1940.”

This year’s event will include:

• Music and performances
• A kids’ zone with fun activities
• A wellness village
• Diabetes resources and expert advice on management and prevention

Diabetes isn't just a disease—it's an epidemic—with over 38 million Americans living with diabetes and its devastating consequences. Approximately 1,219,700 adults in Ohio, or 11.3% of the adult population, have diagnosed diabetes. Every year, an estimated 77,000 adults in Ohio are diagnosed with diabetes.

Events like Step Out play a vital role in increasing awareness, connecting communities, contributing to diabetes prevention and management, and supporting the ADA’s vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens.
