American Diabetes Association Opens Exhibitor Sign-Up, Welcomes Sponsors, and Announces Events at June 6 Ride
The American Diabetes Association® (ADA) has announced an expanded set of rider offerings, local sponsors, and exhibitor opportunities for the 2026 Tour de Cure®: Finger Lakes. The annual cycling fundraiser, happening this year on June 6 at Stokoe Farms in Scottsville, brings together hundreds of individuals, families, organizations, and corporate teams to ride for people living with diabetes.
Nationwide, over 40 million people have diabetes, and every 21 seconds, someone is diagnosed. Approximately 1,677,000 adults in New York state, or 9.3% of the adult population, have diagnosed diabetes. Every year, an estimated 122,000 adults in the state are diagnosed with diabetes.
“Our sponsors are essential to making the Tour de Cure fun, as well as advancing diabetes advocacy and research. Their outstanding support this year is allowing us to enhance the on-site and on-route experiences for participants,” said Denise Nicastro, the ADA’s executive director for Upstate New York.
This year’s event offers a number of activities for riders and volunteers, as well as their families and friends, including:
- Cycling routes of three different lengths (66 miles, 33 miles, and a 12-mile family-fun ride)
- Multiple rest stops with water and snacks
- A variety of on-site food trucks
- Family-friendly games such as cornhole
- Giveaways and resources from local businesses in our exhibitor tent
- Access to Stokoe Farms’ animals
- Live music from local bands and entertainers
- Festivities emceed by 13WHAM anchor Karen Edwards
The ADA is now welcoming exhibitor sign-ups, allowing more local organizations to connect with participants at this year’s event. The $1,000 fee includes a table in the exhibitor tent for displaying promotional materials, providing giveaways, and sharing information. Interested organizations can email Jessica Joanis, the ADA’s director of development for Upstate New York, at JJoanis@.
